Q: does anyone know how many miles a jeep cherokee can run for brfoe it kicks the bucket?
A: Decent maintenance, four liter..at LEAST 250,000 and due to MANY interchangeable and readily available parts due to very long production run, maintenance is cheap and easy. Have 1990 with 275,000 and 1993 at 225,000. Poor maintenance..like anything else, short life, but the design is sound.
