Q: i replaced distibutor cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, checked the air filter. the misfiring began after i finished the work. have since checked and rechecked the firing order, checked to make sure no plug was cracked, and no arching on the wires. i have also taken the jeep to a mechanic, who was unable to diagnos the problem. the misfiring becomes worse at higher speeds (highway) and the longer the jeep is running (possible temp related...) don't know where else to go from here.

A: If you kept the old stuff you took off replace the new Dizzy cap with the old one because i have bought defective caps in the past. If that doesn't work try replacing each individual plug wire with one of the old ones as they can also be defective from new.
