Q: I have a 99 jeep xj that had 255/65 R 15 on it before I put a 4.5" lift and 31 x 10.50's on it...is this enough change to make my speedometer off at all and if so would i be going slower or faster than my speedometer says? Would it be worth the money to get it calibrated

A: Yes it is off and you will be going faster than your speedo says. Here is a good site for some automotive conversions.. http://www.onlineconversion.com/automotive.htm Basically going 45 mph on your speedo, you will be going closer to 50 mph.. The faster you go, the more the speed will be off. 70 mph=77mph.. Changing your gear ratio will should correct this a bit, the same website will tell you approx what gear ratio you would need to get back to "stock" performance..
