Q: How can I tell if I have the SE or the Sport? Its been painted since it was new so it doesnt say anything on it. My XJ is a 94 and I want to put a new crate motor into it, does it matter what engine I put in? I noticed that the head was a little different in one of them. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
A: Look at the engine compartment... if there are only 5 spark plug wires on the distributor cap, then you have a 4 cyl....aka a SE... if it has 7, then you have a 6 cyl...aka a Sport.
