Q: I have a 2000 Jeep which I have been told needs a new PCM. The issue is the fuel injectors are spraying fuel. I know the gas gets to the rail, and the pressure regulator is working fine. I really needed to know where the PCM is located and whether or not a "shade tree" mechanic would be able fix? PLEASE HELP ME! Correction the Fuel injectors are NOT spraying fuel. It is a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 2wd I have had two fairly reputable shops tell me it's the PCM so what are the odds that the PCM will through other error codes? When I do the key "Trick" it does not and has not flashed any error codes.

A: Chris, Are you sure you need a PCM? The used or new PCM will need to be Flashed with your Vin and mileage. You could end up with more problems such as Air bag light on, ABS light on or Security light with a No start condition. First ,turn the key on/off on/off and on and leave on. Read the dash display for codes.EXAMP(P0441) If not sure turn key off and start again. E-mail w/ ccodes TW
