Q: My parents own a Jeep Commander and I usually sit in the passenger seat. In front of me, there is a compartment(not the glove compartment) but an open one. I put things in there like sunglasses, pens, pencils. What if we got in an accident? And the air bag came out? Where would they go? Also, how do the air bags in the ceiling come out? Do they break throughthe ceiling?

A: in the event of a frontal collision commanders front airbags sholud deploy from the area were it says SRS and on that line the air bag will come through the dashboard. the airbags on the cieling are called sisde curtain airbags and they come out were the fabric for the ceiling meets the side of the car and they are mounted usually at the top of the door on the inside. and based on the weight of the person in the passenger seat depends on how the airbags are inflated and if the airbags come out at all. but thats only if your less than 80lbs. hope this helped.
