Q: As I have been trying to find information of my car troubles I read that many people have seemed to have problems with Dealership batteries. I bought my car used but took it to replace battery thinking it was covered under the extended warranty. It wasn't. I got a new battery from the dealership anyway as I was stranded out there. Did they put a faulty battery in my car?
A: Honda does not make any batteries. Any battery will fail in time, on average they last 3-5 years, seen some fail in less than 2 years others last 7+ years. Heat and severe vibration shortens the battery life, as does overcharging, such as in a faulty charging system. Or letting a battery discharge completely.
