Q: I thought the truck/ SUV industry ws hurting due to high gas prices.......but i've noticed that lots of people are now owning the new chevy Tahoes? For instance, the Chevy dealership near my home had about 10 of the new tahoes avail, a few mos ago....... just last week they sold out!??? I dont get it. these trucks do maybe 15-18 mpg on the highway....gas mileage sucks! and supposedly dealerships are hurting on suv/ pu truck sales......so how is it the tahoe is saleing so well???....... I'm only asking bc i intended on buyin a tahoe next yr. assuming they would be a steal bc the demand would go down due to high fuel cost.....but from what I'm noticing....that's not the case.
A: some people actually need large vehicles. really, they actually NEED them. plus some tahoes are now hybrids.
