Q: I have a C4 1.6VTR+. Was driving it at 70 mph, slowing down when coming of the dual carriageway and instead of putting the the car in 4th gear, I accidently put it in 2nd gear, This red lined the engine, not for long but now the service indicator is bleeping and a message saying engine management system fault. What have I done?
A: It's probably caused the engine ECU to store a fault code - Go to a garage & have it read, you don't need a Citroen dealer, and it probably hasn't done any harm. It's probably stored a fault code to check the rev limiter.
