Q: The GVWR is 25950 lbs, The GCW is 30000 lbs, but no where does the door tag say the Curb Weight. What gets me is the front axle say 11000 some odd pounds and the rear say 17000 some of pounds, which adds to be more than 25950.
A: none of the big trucks i have ever worked on have the curb weight listed on them best thing to do is to find a scale and weigh the truck empty. the reason they do this is because the truck is built in the factory with out a bed or body. they have no idea what body is going on the truck so they cant put the curb weight on the tag. and as far as the axle weights you listed there must be a typo some where and you caught it. i have never seen contradicting tags between chassis and axles like that unless the truck was sold as a glider kit then they can put any axle they want under it. hope this helps
