Q: The chevy's timing belt broke and left it sit. I'd like to just replace the belt and hope for the best. But if it is an interference engine, the valves may be bent and I've got to remove the head. Rats. Thanks for the sympathy phaux. Do you know if I will have to get new bolts for putting the head back on?
A: It is an interference engine. Hope they didn't bend on you man. No idea about the bolts, sorry . Do you have one of those mechanics books? It should tell you.. or maybe someone at autozone can look that up.
