Q: i have an 2008 mini cooper, and today the engine light came on and the car began to judder. the engine was also labouring to reach any speed. it is obviously still under warranty but i just want to know what the problem is before mini check it out, so i at least have some idea and they don't tell me a load of bull. thanks could it be anything really serious , with the car only being six months old?
A: Hi, I would not get overly concerned about this. It is there to tell you something needs attention. There are many shops that will read engine codes free of charge. They are hoping that you will then have them do the repair for you. I encourage you to have it checked. It could be something very minor or it could be something that needs prompt attention.
