Q: I'm looking for a used BMW, and I'm torn between the 5 or 7 series. Other than cost, what are the pros and cons to each model? Does the 7 have more electrical problems? Does the 5 spend more time in the shop? I'm probably looking for a 3-5 year old car. Thanks
A: Get the five series=smaller and gets better gas mileage. Repair costs will be almost identical, depending on which repairs are needed. the seven series are more rare, and some parts will most likely be more expensive. By getting a five year old car though, odds are most of the quirks have been found and fixed.
