Q: Will its 4000 lb weight be an issue in cornering and mabe even powerslides on track days?
A: I think you could probably find something more sensible. Back in the day the eight series was outrageously expensive. And the only reason they are cheap now is because people are frightened of the repair costs. There have to be dozens of more sensible vehicles out there to choose from, that are just as fast, handle better, and cost less to run.
