Q: where can i purchase one or whats another name used for that part??? please help i wanna stop the leak... vapor barrier isnt there it is completely removed...
A: you can use any plastic film for vapor barrier. Jsut go to wal mart or home depot or someplace simliar and they will have rolls of plastic sheeting. Just cut it to the right size and put it on with silicone. I am assuming you are having the notorius leaking problem where water comes in from the window and comes through the vapor barrier and soaks the carpet. If this is the problem then I had the same one. When I took the door panel off I discovered I didn't even need new vapor barrier. The stuff that was on the car was perfect (it looks like really expensive thick plastic...just what you would expect on a BMW). Anyway, I just had to stick the vapor barrier back on the factory adhesive. Even the adhesive was fine, the vapor barrier had just peeled off. If you want to be safe however, I would reccomend putting on some new silicone to make sure it doesnt come off again.
