A: Depending on the model and year, BMW uses a number of different audio system manufacturers. Speakers can come from different suppliers and not from the radio/cd/amplifier manufacturer. But usually, Harman Kardon is the preferred speaker for non-basic audio systems. On newer vehicles, there are different brands/manufacturers for the complex radio, cd/dvd players, amplifiers, etc. installed in ONE particular car. The CCC/Central Communications Computer, and the less complicated ASK system are both undecipherable for ordinary human beings.
