Q: Hi - I need to replace the passenger side mirror on my 328i, but just need the glass only. Surprisingly hard to find! Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
A: Well the glass is not hard to find whats hard to find is a person willing to sell just the glass. The problem is once the glass is removed the whole mirror is junk. LET ME explain this one. Once the glass is out and you put if back on the side view mirror the glass tends not to stay put. So if a guy separates the glass he knows that if he needs the side view mirror he one has to put anther piece of glass in. and 2 it will likely not stay in. There are some easy tricks to do to get the glass to stay in for awhile but sooner or later it like to drop. I learned this lesson the hard way many years ago..
