Q: I took the window down and now it wont close/come up. When i try the swicth looks like the motor is working as it will go donw a little and come up a little and then get stuck But still all inside the door. Any idea? Pls help.
A: nj973man may be right. I had to replace the regulator on our 325iT, and knowing (I thought!) how limited warranties are (especially extended warranties) I didn't bother asking the BMW service dept. I took it to a local independent BMW specialist and they replaced the regulator for about $300. Later, when we took the car in for its regular service, I mentioned it to the service writer, and he said they would have replaced it on warranty. Live and learn! It never hurts to ask!
