A: Hi, the E46 (2001-2005) model can be 'superchipped' to produce another 10Bhp, but this isn't really worth it when you consider the increase in insuring the car and the damage done to the overworking engine. Also, consider the chances of selling it to someone, what would you think about a car that has been chipped, what sort of owner would it have? The E90 (2005 onwards) can be superchipped to produce another 8Bhp, worth it? I think not. Just enjoy the car as it is, and save the money to buy something else with more power.
