Q: Wheels i can get for my BMW E36 2dr Coupe? I recently bought an E36 but its got the very very basic alloys and so im looking to upgrade. Instead of lowering the car to give it that sporty look i thought i would put bigger wheels on to take up the space between the wheel arches. So, what size is the maximum i can be looking for? My general knowledge tells me that 19" would be the biggest but is that sensible? Answers highly appreciated!
A: You could probably get 20s on an E36, but get the right ones or it'll look gay. Check your turning circle, as well, since the bigger wheels won't be able to turn so far as the standard jobbies. BMW think about that sort of thing when they make the car, y'see (unlike french crap, for example)! You'll probably need to stiffen your suspension as well, even if you don't lower it; or at least move the stops. Good choice of car, by the way
