About to get a 2004 BMW X5 4.4i for first Car...HELP?

Q: Well, my father agreed to getting me a 2004 or 2005 BMW x5 4.4i. The problem is I don't know if the cars have an ipod adapter? I have 4,000 songs on my computer and I'm unwilling to burn them all to CD's. Does the X5 have an Auxiliary port so I can buy one of those 90 dollar adapters by belkin or griffin to hook up to my car? Also, any major problems with both years of the X5. Thanks! *I'm soon to be 17

A: Yes you can buy the ipod adapter installation kit from BMW, ($150 + about an hour to install) but it will only work on vehicles without NAV, Optional CD changer or Sirius satellite radio and without the upgraded premium sound system. The kit comes with 2 wire harnesses and an interface box. The interface box connects to the back of the radio with a cable that then runs to the glovebox. The connector in the glovebox is used to connect to your ipod. This cable will also charge your ipod.
