A: Funnily, this was on Top Gear and it rings true. The people who appreciate the fine qualities of an Audi would buy it... Or indeed historically did buy it. The RS4, for example, was a great distraction from the M3. However, when these cars become popular, the bell-ends that bought the M3 for the bragging rights move on to the RS4 for the same reason. This dilutes the number of Audis that are owned by people who appreciate what Audi has done. The people who you see driving RS4s, for example, could be either M3-leaving class-seeking bell-ends or people who understand the excellence behind Audi's cars, and quite possibly used to wet themselves when they saw the glorious Audi Coupe Quattro in action way back in the day...
