Q: Changes in my "new" used vehicle seems unusually high from 1st to 2nd and then to 3rd (~4500 RPM), then down in the 2500-range for 4th and 5th. Thanks.
A: I always change gears between 2500 and 3000. I don't like to go past 3000 because it sound like the engine stresses too much. Of course if you are on the highway or racing that would be different. But just normal up and down on the street that's how I go. No matter the car.
