Q: I have some kind of strange problem with interior lights in my Audi A4 2002 1,9 TDI. For some days ago some of the interior lights were gone. Headlights over the backseat and front seat plus lights in the back seat doors and light for ashtray on back seat does not function as well. Floor lights are OK. I have checked all of the fuses and they are ok. It seems that there is no power transmition to lights which are affected. Does any body have any idea what/where the reason could be???
A: Did you check the on/on with doors/off switch for the interior lights on the overhead console? If the switch is in the "on" position it'll be to one side, "on when doors open" is when the switch is flat, and "off" is to the other side. Also consider having the car scanned by someone with VAGCOM software, to find any glitches in the car's electrical systems. And, of course, fuses, but it seems you already checked that.
