Q: I am purchasing a 2003 Audi A4 3.0 and I was told that the oil only has to be changed every 10,000 miles when synthetic is used. Is this true? I am used to changing the oil every 3,000 or so miles in my other cars.
A: Your going to want to change it every 5000 miles. When you do be sure to use fully synthetic 5w-30. The owners manual says to use castrol syntec, but any decent brand will do, I use mobile-1. Since your not running the turbo version, you can probably go a little longer if you dont have time or forget, but more much.
