Q: I have a 1999 A6 Quattro. I'm missing one of the manuals and cannot find which type of oil to use. The local shop says you don't have to use Synthetic, but I'm not sure I want to risk it. Thanks in advance.
A: The manual calls for Castrol Syntec 5w-30. Its not that easy to find, so just about any decent 5w-30 will work. I use mobile 1 in mine. As for the shop saying you don't need synthetic, they don't know what they are talking about and you shouldn't go back there. You need synthetic in an Audi
