Q: I just bought a 1999 audi a4 with 133,000 miles. It recently had most of the belts changed including timing belt. I think the brakes were recently done. Nothing seems to be the matter with it except the brake light flashes even though the e brake is down. The reason I bought the car was I got an incredible deal on it ($1875). I am concerned about maintenance. How expensive can it be?

A: You shouldnt have any schedualed maintenance in the near future. You should probably look over the car and make sure there are no small problems that can turn into big ones. For $1875 I'm willing to bet there is something wrong, so if you cant find it you may want to take it in and have a mechanic go over it. If everything is fine your only maintenance expense will be oil changes ($75+ at most places).
