Q: I've been having a lot of miscellaneous problems in the past with my car, but this one tops them all. There's a dank puddle in the rear left passenger floor, but nowhere else. When I drive up a hill, water (I wishfully assume) pours out of a factory made hole in the machinery of the driver seat. I had the oil changed by an Audi dealership just yesterday, and no lights are on telling me I've got any problems. My main concern is that when I drive, depending on the terrain (i.e. hill down/up, flat surface etc..) my hazard lights will spontaneously turn on. I'm concerned that the mechanics of my car will be ruined because of this, I'm wondering if I should have it professionally worked on or if I can just take a Shop-Vac to it and take care of the problem myself. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

A: On a dry day open your sun roof. Pour some water on the in the track "lip" you should see water coming out the bottom of the car. If not you have clogged drains. Do the same thing on the hood cowling at front windshield. Water should run out a drain tube on both sides. Go to audi forums web site for more info. Check you spare tire area, could be a trunk leak. Yes this water is a serious issue. DO NOT ignore it and just hope it goes away. My fuse box under the engine filled up due to clogged drains. Open the fuse box under the hood that is on the drivers side, near the firewall. And there are some electronics that are on the floor boards, I think under the passenger front area. Those can get wet from these problems. a>
