Q: I have two Audi A6 2.7T with 6 speed manual transmissions. One is a 2000 with 75,000 miles. The other is a 2001 with 94,000 miles. They are both priced at $10,950. Which one is the better choice?

A: mileage doesn't affect these car that much 20K miles doesnt make much difference other than in resale value. you REALLY need to look into the maintenance these cares require specific maintenance and it has to be done if you want the car to last. ask what type of oil was used in the car look at service records both of these cars should have had their timing belts done (enthusiast recommend timing belt and water pump ever 70K) If the 2001 has not had it done yet i would wonder what else they neglected. If the 2000 has not been done it needs to be done asap. they should have had only synthetic oils in either a 0w 40, 0w 50, 5w 40, or 5w 50, not 5w 30 or 0w 30. these cars are great if you can afford them but do not buy this car and think you can get away with maintaining it like you would with a Camry. it needs synthetic oil special hydraulic fluid for power steering and specific coolant. not to mention 91 octane or higher fuel. they are not cheap to maintain even if nothing goes wrong. the turbo is a wear part it will not last forever start saving now it will probably need to be replaced before the car hits 130K miles. If equally maintained id buy the 2000 it probably has 50k+ miles before it needs the turbo's replaced the 01 will probably need them sooner (assuming both had proper amintence )
