A: It should go up automatically when you put the radio on, if it's not going up on it's own, it's faulty. I've changed a few of them due to faulty motors. You don't have to buy Audi's own, they are very expensive, and there are some good quality replacements, that are less than half the price. But get it checked out first, you could just have a dodgy feed or ground.
