Q: which one is faster? they both are v8 420hp 4.2L i just want to know which one is faster and why the r8 would cost 30k more for the same amount of hp?!?? even the s8 is faster v10 450 hp
A: R8 is quicker to 60mph by 0.3 seconds(4.4 seconds vs 4.7). And top speed wise the R8 tops out at 187mph and the RS4's top speed is governed to 155mph. The 30k price difference has more to do with the actual car than the engine. The R8 is much more balanced and handles way better than the RS4. The R8 Stops faster, corners harder, is lighter and looks better(in my opinion). The R8 also is in a totally different class than the RS4 and made from much different materials, and also shares parts with the much more expensive lamborghini gallardo.
