Q: Is an Audi A4 more expensive to maintain than a VW Passat/Jetta? They are essentially the same car, just rebadged. I own a VW Jetta now and want to an A4. I know VW parts/repair are really expensive, but I wonder if it's even worse with an A4 or about the same?
A: The A4 is the same platform as the Passat, not the Jetta, which is based on the Golf/Rabbit platform. The TT and A3 are based on this platform, not the A4 I'll defer to people that have these cars to answer whether Audi's are higher, but I doubt it, in many areas the Audi and VW dealers are combined. VW's are already high enough!
