A: Audi was the first company to start AWD in cars. They won every race in rally racing. The Rally Racing organization made rules to get Audi out of the races because they kept on winning. Audi has the best AWD system. They call it Quattro. The Audi A4 comes in FWD and AWD Quattro. It also comes with a 4 cylinder turbo engine and a 6 cylinder engine and a diesel engine and a 2 different V8 engines. The Audi S4 is the sport version of the Audi A4. The Audi RS4 is the fastest version of the Audi A4. The new Audi A4 with the 4 cylinder engine has 200HP. The new Audi A4 with the 6 cylinder engine has 250HP. The new Audi S4 with the 8 cylinder engine has 350HP. The new Audi RS4 with the 8 cylinder engine has 420HP. The S4 and RS4 only come in Quattro AWD. The RS4 only comes with a manual transmission. Audi's are generally reliable, but like all German cars, they have electrical problems such as power windows getting stuck or light bulbs burning out quickly. Audi's are German luxury sporty cars so they are very very expensive to fix and insure. I have driven many Audi A4's. They are some of my favorite cars. I love the sound, the ride, the looks, the handling. This car is safe. And the Quattro is very good in rain and snow. The 4 cylinder and 8 cylinder Audi's can make it to 200,000 miles, but the 6 cylinder Audi's are not as reliable. The Audi A4's main competitors are: BMW 3 series, Infiniti G35, Lexus IS, Acura TSX, and Mercedes C class. The Audi A4 is a compact luxury sports sedan. When I drove the 4 cylinder model, I got an average of 28mpg. But that was the AWD Quattro model, which is heavier and uses more gas. The Audi A4 feels very similar to drive as the BMW 3 series and Infiniti G35.
