Q: I've heard it used a lot in motorsports: Risi Competizione, Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, Ferrari F40 Competizione, etc. I thought it meant competition in italian, but now I'm not so sure. Any ideas. So then what does Concorrenza mean?
A: You're correct. It means "competition" in Italian. Edit: I suspect it's the same as when we add "racing" in front of "car." It's a car made for racing, for competition.
