Q: should i replace the clutch master cylinder or the clutch itself?
A: check the shift linkage. it might be loose or rusted. check the clutch for slip next. if the linkage and clutch are both fine, it is probably a synchro, which means a new or rebuilt gearbox ($$$) sorry
