Q: Just bought an Acura Integra and loving it, however I have heard they are pretty hot for thieves, so I am just wondering what the best ways to keep it from getting stolen are. It has the stock alarm system in it, but I have heard that this can be disabled. Is the Viper Alarm system worth investing into? Any info provided would be appreciated, thanks! A couple of the viper alarm systems do have GPS tracking which would be helpful..

A: you should get another almarm on top of what you had... i have had many attempts on my integra an on the 4th they broke in and stole my stereo.... needless to say i got another alarm with a two way pager. you should reroute your hood latch cable by doing this : http://www.team-integra.net/sections/articles/showArticle.asp?ArticleID=732 you should also do a fuel cut off switch.. oh and with the alarm get a back up battery for it too. there isnt anything you can really do to stop a theif who really wants your car, cuz if they cant get it, theyll come back and tow it away( it really does happen) lojak is also good for car recovery join team-integra.net
