Q: Can someone clarify what is a ls/vtec? is it the ls motor with the vtec block? what are the numbers for the ls/vtec motor and gsr motor? and how do they compare
A: a LS/Vtec is a LS (b18b1) bottom end with a Vtec head there are no set numbers for a ls/vtec it all depends on what components you use. I personally thing the Gs-R motor is better it has oil squirters in the block to help cool the pistons and it was meant from the factory to run a vtec head a ls/vtec CAN be just as reliable as a gsr, but why go ripping apart a motor for it, just buy one with everything where it should be. ie the gsr motor =p
