Q: I just came across this Acura, I havent been to see it but I was told by the owner that there is leakage around the radiotor and i believe she said something about engine "rings" being bad. Do you think it it worth buying? I know money has to be out in it but I don;t wanna spend thousands.Thanks
A: Any car that runs is worth at least $500... that is the advice a mechanic gave to me years ago. The miles are high, but it would be easier to just swap a new engine in for a grand, than it would be to rebuild the existing engine in order to change the piston rings. And a radiator leak would be a relatively simple, inexpensive fix as well.
