gsr head on a ls integra?

Q: how much does a gsr head swap on a ls integra actually help? Hp? How much would the ls/vtec swap cost? (just for parts)... i don't need an explanation on what vtec is, i already know.

A: Just a slap on GSR head = loss compression = loss in tq = loss in hp. All this will cost is a conversion kit, some machine work, new gaskets, reprogrammed ECU, and probably a set of head studs. For effectiveness of an LS/Vtec you would need to invest close to $3k in parts just to get the numbers and reliability of a stock GSR. These would include higher comp. pistons, rods, block girdle (highly recommended), and those mentioned above. So a slap on GSR head is just a slightly better LS. You're better off just getting some bolt-ons if you were just going to go that route. Otherwise it's pretty much a rebuilt motor.
