This is because of the longer tubing, reaches max air velocity quicker, which gives better mid range. The LS is more of a low to mid range motor. However, to go name brand or not, in the end it's just a pipe with a filter at the end. But support the name brand and get one. Without them, there would be no other cheap replicas.
