Q: I'm 17 and thinking about buying a integra, cause I'm really into them. I see theres 5 types, the RS,LS,GS,GSR,TYPE-R and the VTEC engines. I also see that for the LS you can put a VTEC engine inside it, and turbo it. Iv been hearing theres a big difference between Turbo and VTEC, I'm not quite sure about them. My questions: 1. How can you tell the difference between a GSR and a TYPE-R? 2. Do the Type-R cars have the logo showing on the exterior of the car making it a legit Type-R? or it doesn't have to show? 3.Whats the difference between VTEC and TURBO? Are they both the same? Or are they different? 4.How do you know what's good mileage on a Integra? 5.What is the standard HP for the RS,LS,GS,GSR,TYPE-R? --------------- Misc Questions: 1. Is driving stick(manual) hard? 2.Is a integra good for a first car? 3.Do I have to do alot of checkups If I were to get a VTEC based car engine? 4.How can you tell the difference between a good integra and a bad integra? Thank you for reading this and I hope I can better understand the 'INTEGRA'

A: 1. The Type R has different wheels and slightly different bumpers. And it says Type R all over it. 2. Yes 3. Vtec is a type of engine that Honda makes where the car accelerates faster at high rpms. Past 5000rpm. 4. Turbo is when you buy a turbo kit($3000 and up) and install it to give your car at leastan extra 100HP. The Turbo kit comes with everything you need to run a turbo like the turbocharger itself, a cold air intake, intercooler, blow off valve, and more. You can install a Turbo on any car on any type of engine, including Vtec. Honda's/Acura's Vtec engines are known for lasting forever. 4. They last forever so it does not matter if you buy it past 100,000 miles. If it is 300,000 miles and more than $2,000, then it is a bad deal. 5. Around 140HP for the RS, LS, and GS. Around 170HP for the GS-R. And 195HP for the Type-R. -------------------- 1. It is hard at first, but you will be able to drive the car after 1 hour of practice. Every Manual car is different. If you learn how to drive stick in an Acura Integra. It will be different if you try a Manual Mazda Protege. But the Acura Integra Manual is easy to drive. Manual's are faster than automatics and lighter so they also get better gas mileage. They are also more reliable and cheaper to maintain than automatic transmissions. 2. Yes, Most buyers of the Integra are 15-20 year olds. Cheap, but very reliable. Great on gas. Fun to drive. 3. No. This is a low maintenance car. If you buy one, just check the fluids, oil, and air filter. And check the tires for correct tire pressure or tire wear to see if you need new tires. 4. No such thing as a bad integra.
