Q: my question is if i just get the b18 vtec block or the b17 gsr block will it mesh with the tranny. also i know that the computer and the wiring will have to be changed cause of the vtec or will it be cheaper to go ls vtec
A: if you get the whole vtec motor.. b16, b18c.. yes it bolts to the trans and the motor mounts. you will need an ecu for it and wire vtec. for the ecu either find a pr3 since its obd0.. or chip your stock ecu.. or convert it to obd1 and use the right ecu.. p72 or whatever motor you get. lsvtec might be cheaper but probably not as good, your call. find a b16 head for like 500, lsvtec kit is like 150 and the ecu is like 100-150.
