Q: Igot the car 4 dirt cheap. But don't know if any work was done engine wise. Piston rings are out but still drive with full compression. What step do I take since I work at an automotive shop. Ill get parts 4 a lot cheaper 2
A: its common for rings to go out on a turbo car. the reason is that most people add turbos but they never ever get their engines tuned. tunning is the best thing for your car. replace the rings with some good aftermarket rings. and while your at it, why not your pistons.if you wanna swap your head. go with a vtech head of a b16. wich is a dohc vtech head of a civic. if you do this swap you will have an ls vtec turbo integra. much better and faster than what you have now if your gonna do it, might as well do it right so you wont have to do it twice. once you get them replaced, take the car straight to a race shop to get your engine tuned. maybe even lower your psi a little so it can be a safe and reliable daily driver with a ton of hp. once you tune it you will notice how much better your car drives and responds. let me know if it helped http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37jM2qM6_sg
