Q: Now, i know that the 6 cylinder vtec Accords would own ANY civic of any generation in a race, but what about the Accords with only the 4 cylinder vtec motors? Are they still faster than the EX and SI Civics? And Im referring to the civics and accords of the 97 - 01 generations. Im thinking about buying an accord, but the one im looking at only has the 4 cylinder in it. Even though it is still vtec, I'm worried that it is still considered a slow car.

A: No? Civic SI is specced for racing. That means everything was cut down in weight from the base model so that way it could be faster. That means the body weighs less, rims are made out of different metals that weigh less, less interior amenities, etc. Also 4cyl accords with vtec (unless its manual transmission) isn't really meant for racing. Vtec isn't just a performance upgrade, it allows the car to get better fuel economy. If you want a fast car why do you consider v4 accords? they're commuters man go with the civic SI or something. Prelude if anything i got myself an Integra GSR
