A: Do some research on the transmissions. Many CL and TLs from 99-03 have significant transmission problems, particularily the Type s. If you buy one be sure and get a helluva deal on it and be prepared to replace the transmission at some point. I have an 01 TL (not type S) and have been through 2 transmissions in the past 40k miles. I still love the car and I got a great deal on it, but I have the money in the bank to replace the transmission if I have to. Good luck.
